Hello! We are officially in the north island now, and it felt like we were leaving a country when we boarded the ferry to get across to wellington - the capital city of NZ. The south island is really a beautiful place and im really priviliged to have been able to experience it! Whilst on the ferry we passed the Marborough sounds, absolutely gorgeous views of lush forest which surrounded the ferry untill we got further out to sea. It took 3 and a half hours to reach the north island - longer than i thought it would be! The ferry was called the Interislander and was huge, big enough to fit a couple of lorrys underneath the decks as well as cars. Tonight is our third and final night here, then we will move on bright and early tomorrow at 7.15 for the magic bus. The picture above actually shows where we went today, its a cable car that goes up the steep hill of the outerskirts of the city and i took a picture that looks exactly like this one!
