I DID A 15000ft SKYDIVE this afternoon!!!! sorry had to get that out of my system....it was amazing and I am still buzzing from it!!!!!
Anyho I am in Taupo at the mo, in the north island. Have been quite busy stince my last blog, hence the slow update, but i'll try and fill you in. I was in Queenstown the last time I wrote. Well what a place....adventure capital of NZ. We did a canyon swing...bit like a bungy but you don't bounce....just as stupid tho...so stupid I did it twice!!! It was awesome and I got the photos and DVD to show you when I get back!! We also went river boarding on the Shotover river which was great fun as well but a little more strenuous than throwing yourself into a canyon!!! Anna also had the guts to do a bungy... she did the Ledge which is 47m and has the best view coz it hangs over queenstown. I didn't have the balls to do it but it lokked good fun. From Queenstown we headed back to Christchurch where we met up with Mummy. Had a ride in the back of a police car to but for all the write reasons..they seem to double up as taxi's over here or maybe the fact that we looked really lost might have played a part. Anyway the nice Policeman who had just given someone a tickets dropped us at the hotel where we were meeting mummy. Bit of an experience and hopefully my first and last time in the back of a police car!!!!!!!! We had a day of wandering round Chiristchurch before heading on the bus (for Anna and I) and the train for Mummy up to Kaikoura where we went swimming with dolphins.....what an experience swimming with a pod of about 100 dolphins, unfortunately the weather could have been better but no one was sea sick and we had a wicked time. From Kaikoura we headed, again on 2 different modes of transport, to Picton where we hired a car and headed to the Abel Tasman National Park. Our car was TINY but just fitted us and all our luggage!!! We had a day of kayaking on the tasman sea along the edge of the park. Thankfully the weather was perfect and the scenery stunning. We did ache a bit the next day tho!!! After two days on the edge of the park we headed Nelson where we stayed for the night before reaturn to Picton for our 1.15pm ferry crossing to the north island. Again we were lucky with the weather and the crossing which took 3 hours was goreous, sailing thru the Cook Straits. The ferry got into Wellington in the eveing so we spent the night in a hostel in the capital. I was weird being in such a busy place after all the dead towns we had been thru. We left Wellington this morning at 8, Mummy is now on the bus with us. From Welly we have had a long drive here but a very scenic one!!! We were dropped at Taupo Airport where I did my Skydive.....did it tell you that it was AMAZING!!!!!!!got the DVD to show you all!!!!! We have met up with Kene (for those of you who know who he is)in Taupo where we are spending the next 2 nights before heading to Rotorua for 2 nights and getting to Auckland on the 7th.
Whoa...this has been pretty rushed but hopefully it fills you in on what I have been up to! Hope all is well in England, only something like 39 days til I get back!!
Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
p.s i hope this all makes sense, my eyes have gone funny staring at the small print I can't read it thru!!!!!!
