It's me again!!! Sorry for the delay in the update but the Fijian internet service is pants and very dated!! So i'm an now updating you from Hawaii. We arrived this morning into Honolulu after a 6 hour flight from Nadi that left at 2.30AM so pretty jet lagged today coz of the 22 hour difference and crossing the date line we have had the 22nd of April twice but hey i think we will survive and get our heads around it soon!!!!
Anyway....FIJI....what a place......a fantastic place. Anna and i have jsut had an awesome 10 days there. The Fijians are the happiest, friendliest people you will ever meet. They love tourist so you get treated really well and the cournty and beaches are stunning. The only downer of our trip was that we only had 1 day of sun...on all the other it was cloudy and raining....luckily it didn't dampen our spirits too much just made our rucsacks STINK!!!! We did the Feejee Experience for 4 days, it was brill. Our tour guides were hilarious, one was as camp as a row of tents and the other took the mickey out of the fact, they were a very funny twosome!!! Our drive told us lots of stories about Celebrity Love Island coz he was a driver for the programme so dished the dirt on that. We stayed in some gorgeous resorts on the beach. Did was great activities like sandboarding, bamboo rafting, trekking and horse riding on the beach on what are descirbed as psycotic anorexic horses...and that just what they were but not too anorexic. It was great fun. Along with the fun we had some very cultural experiences visiting remote mountain villages and schools and joining in in Kava ceremonies (kava is a root that they crush and combine with water as a drink...it's big thing and the ceremonies have to be carried out in specific ways.) We circled the Main island(Viti Levu) on the Feejee Exp and then headed to Beachcomber Island for a night. It is a 30 min boat ride off the west coast of the main land. Its a tiny island with one resort on it and takes 10 mins to walk round the whole thing. It was lovely to spend 2 days there, with a wicked group of people we had met on the Feejee Exp. The experience on Beachcomber was sleeping in dorm where my bed number was 112 and not the last one!!! The other pain about Fiji is the mossies....there are thousands of them so I have yet again been eat alive...but so has Anna which is unsual!!
It was a bit sad to leave Fiji coz it is an amzing place...alltho a little rundown and dirty....the people make it what it is. Anyway we are in Hawaii now and loving it already but it has got a lot to live up to. There are loads of surfers and the beach and weather are lovely so bring on the tan!!!!
Only 15 days now til I'm home so watch out!!!!
Hope everyone is well....see you soon
Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
