I spent 4 days in Sydney before heading further south to Melbourne! Loved it... even though im not a city girl. Had lots of character, especially the harbour! Almost like London but without the busyness!There was lots to do, so our days were action packed! Felt as though we never stopped! Calrys birthday was my favorite day of them all. We spent the morning on a harbour cruise which gave an insight into its history! The sun was shinning so the views were stunning! After lunch and birthday cake we climbed the easterly pylon on Sydney's Bridge! We were originally meant to be doing the Bridge Climb but we chickened out! The views from the top were spectacular though and you could see for miles! In the evening we arranged a surprise meal at sydney towers revolving resturant! The food was gorgeous... it was an all you can eat buffet! Indian, chinese, Italian, Roast - everything you could imagine! Reckon i had about 7 courses! Let alone the 3 deserts that i managed to squeeze in lol! The views were great aswell! Sydney looked so pretty light up with all its lights! Definitely one of the best restaurants i have been too! Had to go back to Backpacker reality after our classy evening though, which was a shame! Was nice to be classy chicks for the evening though! Another highlight of sydney were the Botanical Gardens - hectares of gardens looking out onto the Harbour! Best spot to look onto Sydney's harbour! Manly, a small town south of sydney was also nice to chill at! We got the ferry over, ate lunch on the beach and then indulged in the best ice cream ever! Ice cream is one of my weak points at the mo, seem to have acquired an addiction for it since i have been away! Opps Have to admit we did the touristy thing one day and got the open top bus around the city! Was surprisingly good and meant we saw the sights without having to move! Yes how lazy! The bus also took us to Bondi! Nothing special though especially as it was cold and windy while we where there so we couldn't even enjoy the beach! Went to the Opera House one evening! Which was cool, such fascinating architecture! We saw Circus OZ which was good! Returning back to sydney today for 4 days to see all the sights i didnt get to see and experience more of the nightlife as we only made it 2 one bar on our last stay!
