Howdy!! Well we made it here in one piece and our 4 star Asia Palace Bangkok Hotel was LUSH!! Swimming pool on the roof was very exciting also. First evening we headed out for a wander down to Pat Pong night market (or ping pong) as it is otherwise known eeeyyyyy ;-) for a good deal on some D & G glasses for Lucy and a slightly not so real casio for Alex! Next day we were culture vultures and headed to Wat Pho, Bangkok's oldest Buddha temple with a MASSIV...

Arrived in Vang Vieng in the afternoon and dropped off our stuff at a guesthouse which was one pound fifty per night for a tiwn room and ensuite, pretty bargainous! Then headed down one of the only streets to enjoy a mini "Friends" marathon which pretty much every bar plays throughout the day. V.I.P. nightbus where we watched Gremlins 2 and although Lucy fell asleep Alex bonded with a couple of Swiss guys and a brummie English chap over their shared love of Gizmo...the nice Gremlin, also a cameo appearance from Hulk Hogan really added to the enjoyment of the bus ride and woke lucy up with the audience screaming at Hulky!
