Woke up at 7, not sure why! Decided I might as well get up though so got up and dressed then went to look around a bit. Went to the Pharmacy to get a disposable camera, then went to the big Woolworths which was right next to the hostel which was handy! Got some drinks and breakfast stuff etc. Had text the girls to see if they were awake but Amy had the phone! I had some breakfast and chilled in the TV room. It was getting later and I wondered if the girls had gone out without me! They were just having a lie in though as I went and knocked on the dorr at 10 and they had just got up. They got up and had some brekkie and while I waited I went on the computer. We went to get Amy but she was still feeling poorly so was going to stay in bed for a while while the rest of us went for a walk. The girls needed to go on the internet for a bit so I went with them to Tribal Travel where you get half an hour free internet (found that out too late after paying in the hostel before!). We were in there for the half an hour then headed down towards to lagoon! Was a lovely day!! Popped into McDonalds for 50 cent ice cream them walked past the lagoon to the marina and saw a helicopter land right next to us! There were loads of boats there as they all leave from here to go to the Great Barrier Reef. Cairns is really touristy for that reason. Walking down the main street its cafe. travel shop, hostel, souvenier shop, cafe, travel shop, hostel, souvenier shop.... again and again! It has a really nice holiday feel to it though. Our hostel is at the eprfect location too! Only 2 small blocks from the lagoon, 2 small blocks the other way to Gilligans and only about 5 min walk to the main shopping center. Its right in the main square where they sometimes have events and music, too! Soo glad the girls booked me in there :-D Much cheaper than Gilliigans as well and most the other hostels are a bus journey or fair walk outside the center. We headed back to the lagoon after we'd seen the marina. It isn't as nice as Airlie lagoon but still really cool, was busy with familys and tourists as it was so sunny but we found a spot, laid out the girls picnic blankets and laid down to chill out. Was lovely! I read my book which I had nearly finished. Amy and Sarah went for a swim with a guy they knew but me and Helen stayed chilling out in the sun. Once we were done at the lagoon we went to look around some of the souvenier shops then went back to the hostel and met with AMy who stilll felt pretty poorly :-( We all had some lunch though. I had soup, made sure it wasn't condensed this time! We then headed down to the night market at about 5 o clock and we all had massages! We got a deal as there were 5 of us so it was really cheap! We all had to sit soaking our feet, then 5 little Asian guys all came out and started giving us foot massages!! Felt soo nice although I hated it when he clicked my toes!! So weird. Massaged our calves aswell which was lovely then we had to lay on beds while they did our backs, shoudlers, necks and arms. Kept all our clothes on, was very different from massages I have had before with oil and lovely music, was more firm and aggressive! felt good though and my back felt great afterwards. I couldnt totally relax though as I thoguht it was pretty funny. And random, especially when he started slapping my hand..... hope he didnt notice me giggling! We had a wuick look round the market then headed back to the hostel. We popped into the Bottle-O and Woolworths then back to our rooms. Amy had gone in the girls room and I told them I'd see them in a bit. I sorted out my bag, then got showered and ready for the night out then went to their room and they had all been having a nap! I thought they'd been getting ready too! Wish I had known because I would have loved a snooze!! Chilled out in the girls room while they got ready though, then got changed (girls leant me such a nice skirt!) and went to the Woolshed for a meal. We had some vouchers and had heard they did really good food. Ordered then headed upstairs. There was a guy singing and playing guitar which was ool! Got our food - it was soo good! Abolutely massive portions though could only eat half of it! We even turned down the $1 puddings! Was a lovely meal thugh. once we had finished our drinks we headed back to the hostel and went and rank some goon on the roof again. It wasnt as packed as the night before but the 5 of us played some drinking games then some of the guys from the night before came along and joined in. When the balony shut at 10 we went back to the room with Joost, Steven and Connor, 3 of the guys, finishe our goon, then us girls went to Woolshed. It was a Saturday night and wasn't as good as it had been the night before.... there were a fair few older leery men and I think theyd driven all the girls away, which drove the guys away... I have no tollorence when it comes to weird guys so wanted to move on! We stayed in there a bit then decided we would try somewhere else. When we were at the lagoon we got ome free drinks vouchers for a place called Mad Cow so we found out where that was. It was only a small bar but packed! Again, quite a lot of old men but young girls too... reminded me of The Colonial in Clanfield. Got served eventually and enjoyed our free drinks, then headed to Gilligans - such a good night!! It was packed in there and the music was great. Saw loads of people I knew - the girls from Fraser, Alex and the guys from Airlie Beach, the guys I was with on Mission Beach and Lex and Beth! Was one of my favourie nights, was guteed it was my last night with Team Travel but said goodbye in style :-)
