Hey Everyone!

According to the clock on the computer it's nearly 10pm, which actually means it's nearly 3am.. when I got up at about 7am yesterday. Very strange long day.

The flight was.. long. And very bumpy. I'm thinking of swimming back again (opinions welcome)! Then we had to go through immigration, and baggage claim, then wait for a bus. Did anyone else not realise America was really hot? No? Just me?

I finally realised I was in America when I saw the Manhattan skyline across the bridge. I am, unfortunately, a little bit slow on the uptake. The youth hostel is really pretty good. We found our room (10 girls, all from Louise, all very nice) and then headed out for a very traditional New Yor meal.. at subway. It was between that and McDonalds. What can I say? I'm tired, I'll do New York properly when I come back!

We're getting up for breakfast tomorrow at 8, and have to be on the bus to Maryland by 9.15. I might not be able to be in touch for a while, but I'll keep you posted. Hopefully with something more interesting than this.
