Hiiiiii once again muchos sorry for not updating regularly, agh I'm rubbish. So it's Wednesday afternoon and Bek is having a little nap on the top bunk whilst I update. Our room is looking shockingly clean and tidy as we were told we'd be getting a new roomie (we have 3 beds), but it turns out she's not actually arriving til just before we go in a couple of weeks.
Since last time I updated we've had our Cocktail Party which was a huge success, loads of people turned up and after paying for everything and making a charity donation we made $60 each which was amazing. I'll put some snaps up in the photos section. It was such a success that management have asked us to throw another one next Saturday in return for two days off instead of the usual one. Theme has yet to be decided but it'll definitely be major amounts of fun.
We haven't really done much this week, yesterday Bek and I had a wander around the bigger shops like Levis and Niketown that we hadn't looked in yet. We were going to be going to Alcatraz today, but when Bek and Ariel went to get the tickets (you have to pre-book in person) the office was closed, so we'll have to try another day. We WILL make it though! The weather's back to normal San Francisco now, i.e. the wind has returned. It's still beautiful and sunny though.
Tonight we are planning a little gathering for Yuri's birthday (one of the Brazilian boys), but that's about it...the hostel feels almost like home, when we first arrived we both thought we'd have had enough of it by the time the month is up, but now I'll be really sorry to leave, even though Sydney will be amazing. I'll be glad to come back, and I've asked Bridget (manager) if I can come back and work, which she's up for, so that's great. We are now known as the British twins though, so there'll be some explaining to do as to why only one of us is returning!
Anyway, I'm going to try and upload these pictures so you can see the hostel and all the wicked people here. We are now multi-lingual, by the way - if that includes being able to say "how are you? good" in three different languages? We make our presence known by yelling "COMO ESTAS?" (or the equivalent in French or Portuguese) down the corridor at people. Hehee.
Big love!
