Jambo… Habari Gani!

We made it safely to Tanzania and were greeted with a very warm welcome by Evans and Digna at the airport. No problems with security, customs, or anyone else along the way!

Today, we woke up and traveled back to the Dar es Salaam port to catch the ferry to Zanzibar. We then took a van cab to Uroa Village where we are staying at Samaki Lodge. We are the only guests at the resort at this time! An entire resort with staff, pool, and lots of attention for usJ We are enjoying every moment. We relaxed by the pool after our arrival. Then had a 4 course meal prepared by the Master Chef! It was incredible. For dessert, we tasted the fruits of the island including passion fruit, papaya, and akanana! Tomorrow we plan to go on a spice tour and visit the forest to see the red colobus monkeys!

Oh and our room is right on the beach of the Indian Ocean.
