Bangkok, our last stop. TukTuks and taxis, you learn to hate them here. The place we planned to stay in was full so we hiked around and found a guesthouse on the canal, cheap but adequate (we actually saw a crocodile behind our guesthouse) We stayed close to the Khoa San road area which is very central and close to all the excitement. Only saw one knife fight so it was relatively safe!!!
Lots of signs of flooding but we don't think it ever actually flooded around the area we stayed in, although it's hard to get a clear answer from anyone. Did a day on the river and went to northern Bangkok, they still had flooding there. It's amazing how much sandbagging and water control they were able to do, the entire city should probably be under a foot or so of water.
Shopped and checked out the sights for a few days, it's a busy city and not at all like the rest of Thailand.
We're heading to the airport and should be home in about 20 hours!!
