Headed off to Belgrave on the train - walked over to Flinders Street station, then took the ~1hr trip out to Belgrave on the edge of the Dandenong Ranges.
Made our way to the tree tops site - which involved walking up a very steep hill!
Once kitted up, went out on the course - unfortunately, we could only go on part of the harder courses as need to be 10+, with Ethan being 21 days off… But we enjoyed the ones we could go on. We had a 2.5hr allocation but had finished all the courses we were able to do with 40 min to spare, so we decided to leave it there and head into town.
Had coffee (me) and croissant (Ethan) at a café, then walked through town admiring some of the art. Had some sushi for lunch and did some shopping at Woollies (a proper Woollies, rather than the Metro Woollies we have been going to in the city).
Caught the train back to the city and went past a Woollies Metro to get some dinner (Ravioli/pasta sauce) - with the hope of getting some coins as change to operate the washing machines in our hotel. Unfortunately, they use some sophisticated system to scan the money (i.e. you don't give it to the cashier), and it auto-dispenses change as it happened our shopping came to exactly $20! So could not get any coins - asked elsewhere in the shop (café & bottle-o, but no success). Many/most places don't accept cash, so it's proving difficult to get coins. Hopefully can find a café tomorrow that will accept cash and give me some coins.
Had dinner, well, I did; Ethan didn't like the Ravioli and decided he was full anyway… He lasted a few hours before he ate around 5 Bananas for dinner!
