- Breakfast at 8am, then taxi (Bolt app) to Andamanda Phuket.
- Interesting to drive through much of the north of the island. The traffic & roads are not to bad & much better than Bali. Although some interesting challenges, like 5 min cue to u-turn on a hwy as it seemed a roundabout was closed off & some buddhist shine & few praying on the roundabout (not sure if the partial closure of the roundabout was related to the few people praying or not).
- The water park was actually somewhat busy at the entry at opening. The park is only just over 2 years old.
- Once in we managed to do most of the slides without much of a queue. Queues started to build up from 11:15am, although still options (drop slides & racers) without queues so did these.
- Ethan then decided to do the surf (boogie board) ride. This was quite a wait (30 min) but something unique. He did well, Ethan went 3 times throughout the day & did well. I had one go at it, I found it surprisingly easy (I probably have optimal weight), got a round of applause from the cue when I finished.
- We went on all the slides, although only just as we went to do the last remaining slide we hadn't done (had been a large queue all day), which required 3-6 riders - but they would just join small groups - however when we got to the top we were left by ourselves. Turns out the closed the cue behind us (we had no idea what the time was, time went quite quickly especially waiting for the wave rider). But they very diligently found 2 guys who I assume missed the closing but let them up so we could go down.
- Time went fast!
- Caught taxi back to accommodation (via Bolt app).
- Walked along beach with lightning over the water in the distance. Walked in the other direction, while there were a few places that seemed to do dinner, none had menus or info out, so we ended up back at the place next door that we went first night.
- During dinner started to rain, so we were moved to the undercover bar area. Chatted a bit with the thai bar tender & couple of German travelers.
- Back to the accomodation, played rage. Quieter day tomorrow.
- 10 switches to turn off the lights (compared to some where there were single switches to control all).
