Hey people,
The last three days are really not to much to write about, however on thursday we went for a day long snorkelling trip around the island visiting such exotic and beautiful places such as shark bay and mango bay. Very thai names! Shark bay gets its name from the small collection of Black tip reef sharks that patrol its waters. Growing up to 6ft these sharks are not known for violent attacks on humans so we were assured it was fine. I would say the largest shark we saw was around 3ft but still, when you watch it swim along and then turn round and swimming towards you, your heart rises slightly. A great experience none the less. Throughout the day we saw numerous tropical fish and swam amongst the schools of what looked like baby barracuda. Topped off with jumping and diving off the top of the boat with some kiwi folks, it was a really enjoyable day. For the past 2 days we went and stayed on Tanote Bay, a much quiter beach with only 1 good restaraunt. Staying in a bamboo hut on the cliff with the sea right beneath us. Very pretty but very boring, so we've now returned to sairee. Pretty and lively. Heading to Koh Phang-nang in the next few days and plan to attend the full moon party on the 10th. Should be good fun so we're excited about that! Anyway, you'll for us again soon im sure
