Lovewells vs The World
Today we went in to London for the day and ticked off a lot of things from our wish to do list. First tick: We went on a fast train from billericay, then we changed on to the tube and went on the underground...tick. When we came out we were at Big Ben, just in time to hear the clock chime for 11. That was cool! And tick. We walked around the Houses of Parliament, Westminster abbey, 10 Downing St, Trafalgar Square and more...tick. We learned that Westminster abbey was founded 1055 years ago!At Trafalgar Square we saw a unicycle stilt rider juggling knives! Tick for street performers. We got to see the horse guards on duty. Everywhere we visited there were armed police, and they had some pretty serious weapons. It was a clear sunny day, perfect for going on the London eye,so that's what we did. (Tick) From the top we could see the tower bridge , Buckingham palace and Wembley stadium. Did you know that the eye has a circumference of 2100 coca cola bottles?! After that we had a play a a climbing park, and a lovely lunch in an Italian restaurant. Afterwards We went on a double decker bus, another tick. We went to Hamleys toy store... It has 7 floors of toys!!! But you couldn't move because there were so many people shopping for xmas. Tick that off. We wandered around looking at the lights and xmas Windows, tick again, and ended up on a very busy Oxford st. Then it was time to get back on the train and head back home. A few more family members to catch up with after dinner, plenty of laughs and some very tired kids happy to be reunited with their beds... We covered a lot of the monopoly board today!
