The first activity we got to try was snowmobiles (or jet skis if you are mum...she just can't get that jet skis are for WATER! ) Before we could do any activities we had to get snow suits and boots and massive reindeer leather mittens, so we would all be warm. Landing in the snow was quite something! We flew in over snow laden fir trees that stretched as far as the eye could see. We landed on snow, with snow banks piled up three metres on the side of the runway. We disembarked, and walked to the terminal, with snowflakes swirling around us. This morning we had a delay to catch our plane to Ivalo. Our airline was small planet. During the flight they did a colouring competition and I won! The prize I got was mini chocolate fingers. They also did a thing where you sang a Christmas song at the front of the plane through the intercom. I went up and sang Aotearoa Christmas . Truly I did! I recommend small planet airlines... In the middle of the night the fire alarm went off! It was too noisy and it made my ears burst. We had to wake up and get outside in our pjs. It was cold and rainy and busy and I was a bit scared. It took a long time to get from our room to outside. Luckily we could bring baby jaguar and Nici with us. After we could go back inside we went back in our beds and back to sleep. Daniel

Made it to the uk! Another great flight, only complaint is that there was way too much food again, not often that is Lovewells can't finish our food! I only managed an hours sleep, the others got 4, but we are holding up fine so far. Must say it was a pleasure to travel with extremely well behaved and polite kids. Had to go in a holding pattern at Heathrow, which was great as we got an aerial tour of London! Back to reality now in a very average hotel room and it...
