Lovewells vs The World
Daniel: We went to the jellybean factory, and we got to have a good look at how the Jellybeans were being made by different robots That were around the factory. The maximum amount made was approximately 30,000 per day ready to sell to people all over the world (hopefully they didn't sell 10 boxes to each person!). It was awesome watching the machines, especially the packing conveyor belts. Outside the temperature was 36°C so I was melting (literally) and that means that the ice-creams we were eating was melting too (oh no!). For lunch we ate at the jelly belly cafe where we had pizza shaped like a jellybean! And we saw the Mona Lisa again... This time made of Jellybeans! We l aren't that AirforceOne is always stocked with Jellybeans because one of the presidents loved them and it kind of stuck. It was a fun day. Gemma: Today we went to the Jelly Belly jellybean factory, and the snoopy museum/shop! The Jelly Belly factory was awesome, and we got to walk above the actual inside of the factory! We saw the process of the jellybean making, and how the beans journey so far through the factory, until finally they are packaged into bags and sent off to all the shops. Some of the machines that they use are very weird, but they all do their jobs well. It takes two weeks to make jelly belly beans. The smells that wafted up our noses from the ground floor were delicious, and I could have stayed there all day. We also had lunch there, and I had a Hawaiian pizza which was shaped like a jellybean! There was also a jellybean dispenser, which dropped jellybeans into a truck which dropped the jellybeans into the chute so you could collect them. After that, we went to the town of Santa Rosa, which is the hometown of Charles Schultz, who wrote the snoopy comics. The snoopy museum shop thing, had some really cool Snoopy and Charlie Brown things, which some of looked very old, and there was a Christmas tree covered with snoopy decorations. There was even the MONA Lucy! Overall it was an awesome day...but my favourite part was definitely the jelly bean factory! To finish the day we went for a walk to the Point Breton lighthouse, which is through a cave. The waves crashed wildly against the rocks, and the fog rolled in eerily.
