I’m back! We went to burrito (actually Burrit, that's just the iPad having a joke) on the mountain! There were lots of cool birds and really old log houses from 1810 to 1910. We did a treasure hunt and I found pyrite (fools gold), pearl, and Real gold!! We found 6 12 ounces of golden nuggets! And we sweated bucket fulls because it was too hot for words.
Harmony wildlife safari round one
THAT was amazing! First we met the deer but we had to stay in our car ,but that did not matter since the deer were nosey, literally! Then we raised our windows for the mighty… drum roll please…Emu. It came right up to the window and mum took a picture of the Emus face and beak. Then we moved on to the zebra, which eventually came over but only Dad got to touch it. We drove on at two miles per hour to the rare white deer. After that came the odd ostrich. The ostrich put its head up and down with the window. It was a very funny dance to watch. Next we saw the cows . Bison and longhorn etc etc. they are MASSIVE. With MASSIVE horns. I kept my window up through there. Gulp. I was happier when we saw a squirrel scurrying up a tree. Then we had llama drama…they tried to get in the car to reach the food. But the annoying car behind us nearly, literally had llamas on it!
Harmony Wildlife Safari round two
We did a loop that skipped the deer and went to the zebra on round two. But on round two we all got to touch the zebra! The white deer and its friends got the rest of the food. Then we went on foot and found a sick kitten, he/she followed us around. We touched the turtles, their skin is like very soft leather and they are strong but not actually that slow. Mum loved the turtles. But she didn't love the next stop: the reptile house. In there we saw, well, reptiles. Huge ones. Like a baby anaconda (Huger than you can imagine and it is only a baby. When it grows up It will be 30ft) and Burmese pythons from babies to nearly full grown.
If you ever come to Huntsville you absolutely have to visit Harmony wildlife safari. It is the best fun ever and they look after their animals very well. They even give them fountains (we saw a buffalo taking a shower).
Bye! Daniel
