It friday today and w'ere on our lunch break at the school. Tuesday and Wednesday we were in the classroom all day 8-5 learning all about the body positions in the sky, flying your chute, what to do if you have a malfunction etc etc. They even had us hanging up the the hanger doing our AFF training and what we have to do with the instructors while in freefall!! Loads of info but really good stuff. The instructors here have so much info on this sport it makes you feel like you are learning from the best.
Today and yesterday we've all been given our chutes we'll be using for the first month (mines number 8, lucky number!!) and we have to pack them! I didn't realise how fit you have to be!! Woke up this morning with aches in places i didn't even know existed!! Just fully packed my chute in 10/15 minutes which i pretty happy with! We've also got to learn how to pack a tandem and they're MASSIVE!
My first week has been wicked and i can't wait to jump on Monday, i'm so excited! The hot weather is staying for a while as well. It was 38 degrees here yesterday! Sweet!
I start my job tonight at Supervalue, need the dosh! Oh and i've got my custom made/one of a kind jumpsuit being made for me as we speak or type in this case! The main body is black with blue panels on the arms and legs with white piping. On the arms and legs you have panels that open up for more drag if you need it in freefall and in there it's neon pink! woo!
