Hey! We're not actually in Otavalo anymore..We've moved on to Baños where we've been extreme sports queens! Went canyoning yesterday which was awesome. Abseiled down a couple of waterfalls and did a 42 metre freefall inside the waterfall which was amazing..if a tad chilly. Quad bikes were cool..we managed to get some speed up which might explain why we were covered in mud..about par for the course as we're looking particularly pretty at the moment!! THe Amazon rainforest was fab. Did a couple of longish treks and swam in the Amazon..not such a great plan as one of the guys, Sam, jumped in and managed to gash his foot open on a rock..several visits to the hospital and a pair of carved balsa walking sticks later and he's on his way to recovery apart from being a bit bored! Got attacked by some killer wasps when we trod on théir nest in the Rainforst..Never felt so much pain..but apart from that we're intact and unscathed. Sampled the local nightlife last night and feeling very ropey today. The locals are well into their salsa..We taught them a few good moves though!!
