Got the bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday. Arrived earlier than the family were expecting so we had to get help from the customer service people at the bus station. Were really friendly, let us use their phones and comupter. Managed to get in contact with them and they picked us up. Staying in the most beautiful house. It's HUGE. Very expensive neighbourhood. The owner of Concord hotel lives round the corner, has a harley davidson on his roof and 20 cars lined up outside the house. Family are really nice, took us out for tea and drive us everywhere we need to go. Went to China Town last night and huge market, bought loads of nice jewelrry for like 25p. Managed to get hold of our Thai visa forms but got to the Thai embassy and it was closed. Discovered we can't even get a train to Phuket now so no longer need a visa as we are getting a flight, found one for 45 pounds. Again, everything is so cheap, can get a big meal for about 3 pounds and snacks, train tickets etc are about 20p. It's very hot but it's the rainy season apparently, so lots of thunder and lightening everyday. Guy we are staying with has never seen snow. How annoying. Next stop is Phuket, then straight to Ko Phangan for the full moon party on Saturday. Will try to update my blog when I get to Thailand. Hope all is well. Feel free to leave comments. x
