2 days of madness sums this trip up! Lou and Beki didnt want to come on the trip, so me and Vic went along anyway. We booked up with the hostel and it was called the party boat - we got what we paid for! Took a 3 hour bus journey to get to the port, then we got allocated our boat. Me and Vic were on the smaller boat which turned out to be the best one anyway! Then we went on a little tug boat which took us to the actual cboat (lots of transportation involved).
When we got to our room it was lovely! Properly the nicest room we have stayed in the whole time of travelling! The ensuite was amazing!! The food throughout the trip was also nice, as it was a buffet style, so could eat as much salad, veg and big prawns as you liked!!
After lunch the fun began! We travelled into and through Halong Bag which was amazing! I had another moment when I was standing there just thinking, I love my life!! There is nearly 2000 rock formations and we were steering through loads of them! It was brilliant! Hopefully the pics do it justice! We were with a really nice group of people, and will hopefully stay in contact with most of them :)
We eventually anchored and was time for jumping activies! By this time we had had a few to drink already and everyone started jumping overboard! Some were doing flips and everthing! I really wanted to get involved on the jumping fun but I was so nervous! I stood on the edge of the boat for what seemed like eternity and everyone was just watching, probably thinking what a looser i was for being scared!! Eventually I took the plunge, literally and jumped off the boat, screaming all the way until I hit the water! Luckily my strapless bikini did me proud (thanks new look) and didnt fall off! I put my thumbs up afterwards and just started smiling to myself! Another proud moment in my life!! hahah Luckily someone took a pic of me jumping so I have actual evidence so people at home dont think im making it up!
After all that excitment (took me about 30 mins to breathe normally again after all the panting and shock of what i had done), it was time for kayaking! We had to go with boys and girls so i picked out a cute guy and we went together. It was so much fun, as we were kayaking aroung Halong Bay, weaving in and out of the rocks! We actually stopped for a moment or two to firstly have a beer (that we carried in out kaykaks), and to admire the senery! It really was beautiful! It was like nothing I have ever seen before and probably wont see again either! Hopefully the pics will do it justice....
We arrive at out destination - the caves!! We then had to walk in the dark caves and the not so clever ones (and i am unfortunately counting myself here) had no torch, so goodness knows how we made it out of there as it was pretty dark! Those with brain cells and torches had to try and shine the light on everyone else! It was funny though! I blame my shortness again, as i found it difficult climbing up and down the steeper rocks due to my 5ft 1" body! nevertheless, i still did it and had such a good time - even worked up a bit of a sweat! haha
After the caves and another can, we kayaked back to the boat via a floating village which was pretty.
Then the fun began! Drinking games, boys getting their bits out, general madness from start to end! Felt like i was back on a 18-30 holiday for the night! haha After drinking probably about 15 vodka redbulls, the night went pretty blurry and i remember lying on the top deck looking up at the sky, once again loving my life! No one got much sleep that night, as the party went on all night! perfect!
Overally, I had the best 2 days ever!! It was perfect! Great scenery, great people, so many laughs, what more can I ever ask for!! I do think sometimes that it's not possible to have this much fun constantly!! I'm just proof that I am living the dream and loving life!!! :)
