Arrived in queenstown after a 8 hr bus journey from Christchurch . The bus journey was amazing with incredible views . When I got to queenstown my hostel was easy to find and I think I picked the best one there my rooms was amazing with a balcony that looked over queenstown . When I first arrived and went a looked around the town the got myself a ferg burger which is a must have in queenstown. I totally see why it was amazing I went for the beef burger with avacado was huge but well worth every bite . That night I chilled with some of the people in the hostel as I was waking up early the next morning to walk up the tiki trail which was near the skyline gondola . I woke up early to do the hike I was lucky with the weather as it was a completly clear day . It was such a hard walk to begin with as it was A lot up hill and bendy tracks also the signs weren't too help full they weren't consistent . When I reached the top
Of where the gondola was the views were so beautiful I decided to take the Ben looper track this was slightly longer averaging around 5 -6hrs walk my photos don't do it any justice at all. On the walk down I got slightly lost ended up going near some random water fall and very steep walk down . Later on the day I went for a walk around the lake up to franc ton that was also a beautiful walk . It's weird back at home I never do much walking whereas queenstown all I want to do is walk and see all the views . Later that day I met a new guy in the hostel so we decided to go out for some beers we ended up going to a Mexican which followed more alchol then went out in queenstown I don't remember the night much at all . I woke up half naked and don't even remember why ! I should learn not to mix my drinks all I remember from that night is a rodeo bull lots of beer And the ice bar that's about it !
Unfortunate for me I had booked my bungy the next day I felt awful I went and got myself a subway to try soba me up and make me feel better it's defiantly didn't work on the bus to the bungy all I kept thinking about was not to throw up! When I got to the bridge my hangover seemed to have been taken over by adrenaline seeing how high the bridge was and all they used to Attach us to the bungy was crazy . I was s***ing myself all I kept thinking was don't look down ... Then I did and made myself nearly freak out if it was for the guy counting me to go on 3 I think I defiantly would have hesitated for sure , when I jumped I went in the water all I remember thinking when I got out was am I dead as I got water in my ears and couldn't hear a thing , after you have been swinging for a bit the boat comes over and they hand you a rod to grab once they turned me back upright that's when all the water came out . The bungy was such an amazing feeling I could easily go and do another one ! I love queenstown and for sure want to move there this place gives me so much energy and enthusiasm for everything I love it !
