Tuesday 10th ,October 2006 .....Today was the day we picked up our camper van .firstly we had to make our way to the air port , as this was where we have to collect it from. once there we jumped on a shuttle bus which took us to the car hire distirct , about 5 min's from the airport. And then we filled out the required forms and lone and behold they actually hired out a veahcle to us "what were they thinking" . We had our first site of "Bettsy" at around 1.30pm , and instantly fell in love with her. she was white all over , with big gleaming spot lights and buffed up bumpers . Inside she had a fridge "good to keep the beer's cold" a microwave , shower and toilet , You Know's all the mod con's and that . The bedding situation was like this , there's 4 of us needing to sleep and only 2 double bed's , so for the next month and half we would be shareing, we new this the night before, so we decided , when having a drink with the irish girls , to draw from the hat and sarha and Dee would each pick two names each, sarha picked wayne and vern , Dee picked Nosh and Corley ,and so the problem of bed shareing was solved.

We left the rental place about 3pm afer checking and re-checking every thing was working. We headed north , up the east coast , on the trail of bay of islands , driving for most of the afternoon we desided to find i littile campsite ,off track , and so came upon campers cove . Our first night in the van was celibrated by a couple of beers and wayne wipped up a hell of a meal " Pasta Al A Connors" . we stayed up playing cards , the same game we learned from the canadian girls in figi "King's and arsholes" .Nosher went to bed first cos he was constantly the arshole.,,,,,
