NOSHER - WOC - VERNON - CORLEY 2006/2007
6th October 2006 , First reactions when getting of the plane? s*** we need to invest in some clothes. The climate was far from what we'd been used to.Wayne, Nosh and Vern met Corley at Auckland air port. He already started his NZ journey a day ahead of the rest of us. We all headed 4 the shuttle bus to take us to our first destination "X BASE” the hostel which we would be staying in for the duration of Auckland.X Base is by far one of the cleanest and coolest hostel's we stayed in , it had it's own night club "which is always a bonus" hot tub on the roof and a single floor for women only , called The Sanctuary , it even had wet wipes for the toilet seat's .The first night we had a little walk around town, Had our first lovers tiff "over nothing really just a little tension in the camp”. Which was settled by”would you believe it" A couple of pints of Beer, after which we headed back to the hostel for happy hour, which was fitting for the moment. Hear we got chatting to a couple of girls. Two girls from Wales, Alex and Lisa and two girls from England, Alex and Natalie. We also met up with two old friends from back in the old U.S. of A., Fraser and Gayle the couple from bonny Scotland. We all got really drunk for a change, and Kevin and Perry (nosh & Corley) done really well representing Wales on the dance floor. After the club finished we took the party back to the library where Fraser gave us an acoustic session on his guitar. We all sang along to oasis, kooks, snow patrol, you name it he played it. Wayne passed out again and this time he had nosh by his side, the both of them woke up in the library the morning after.Day 2 in Auckland, We went back in to town and headed for the sky tower. Nosher and Vern put there names down jump off the sky tower for the next day at 2.00pm. Wayne and Vern had there Hair cut at Toni and Guys (flash packers). There was nothing much else to do apart from window shop .After that we headed back to X Base for the happy hour. That night in the hostel club there was a toga party, $200 tab for best dressed. We sat in our usual corner on settees and chairs, accompanied by all the people we had already met the night before and our two new room mates. Sarah and Dee, two lovely Irish girls from Dublin " they were well up for the crack” as Sarah would say. We all drank and danced the night away, fully charged on the shot's which the welsh girls bought us, "They won the toga contest". After the club finished we all seemed to go our own way , Wayne and Vern ended up drinking vodka with the welsh girls "serious vodka" . Wayne ended up sleeping half of the night out in the hall way cos he thought he'd lost his key, he finally got nosh up to let him in , two hours latter he was up again trying to piss over some German couple , luckily Dee and Sarah saved them and stopped him. In the morning he checked his pockets, only to find the key, the idiot. Day 3 AucklandWe chilled out most of the day "a typical Sunday you could say”. Nosh and Vern didn’t manage to get up for there jump. “Really they bottled it”. Wayne went out to check out the local art , he visited a couple of gallery's , all of which didn’t impress him much , He also visited Auckland museum of art " what a load of b******s that was". Nosh and Corley spent all day in bed, moping around wishing they were back in Fiji in the sun shine .That night we managed to get tickets to see the Quarter final's of the NZ cup, Auckland v bay of plenty. At the game we met up with Fraser and Gayle, we seem to be bumping in to them quite allot. Auckland beat the bay and went on to the semis. After the game, once again we headed back to the X Base club and partied the night away in our usual spot.Day 4 Auckland.Today we booked the camper van, it cost us $4800 for 1 month and 2week's “big lump out of our budget “Wayne and Vern went for walk once again into the heart off the city, doing a littlie retail therapy. Corley went to see those two geezers "Toni and guy” to get his hair cut. Nosher went back to bed; he had a late one the night before "canodling all-night”. Later we all met up, nosher got jealous cos we all had new hair cut’s, so he went out and got his Barnet cut. All diapered up without new hair cut's we spent the rest of the day with the two delightful Irish girls , For all of us this was our last day in Auckland , the two Irish girls where off down south to Wellington and we were going in the opposite direction up north . So we drank till late in the night laughing and joking being happy in each others company. GOOD TIMES IN A GOOD CITY! AUKLAND WE LOVE YA! YOU KNOWS IT!
