Just a quick update on my life in tuaran at the Rasa Ria interpretation Centre placement at the moment. I'm loving having a change of scene, especially one where you can wonder around the town without having to get a taxi into a town. It's really interesting here,we get lots of looks.....when we arrived on Thursday we still had sore legs from Mount Kinabalu,so we were stared at not just for being white and tall, but to top it of we were walking like spastics,with the look of pain on our face going up and down steps!!!

The place we're working at is situated on the side of the Rasa Ria hotel, and we have to prepare food for domestic animals, then orangutans and clean them out and take them to an enclosed area for an hour 1/2 for their enrichment time, where we hide food in bambo etc. We have a 3 hour lunch break, when we get to sunbathe on the white sand beach and swim in the sea!!!! So working on my tan too hehe. The afternoons involve the same kind of thing, feeding and cleaning the animals.

Tomorrow we're going to a nocturnel walk, to hopefully see some nocturnel animals.

Our apartment is basic, with no air con and its soo hot here, i feel like whenever i get out of a cold shower i last 1 min and want to get back in again!!! I'm loving the food here, its sooo cheap, we got our meal just now for 1 pound 50!! Crazy. And I've made many trips to the market to get the yummy pancakes which have a nutty filling in them, theyre sooo good, i wish i could send some over for you all to try!!
