We started the day in memphis with rain, thunder and lightening, how awesome when we are flying out of here. Got the airport and got ourselves prepared to fly to Charlotte in north Carolina for our connecting flight. To be honest we only saw the inside of the airport as to go outside meant a huge wait to come back in via security. Had a bite to eat then boarded our 4 hr flight to Vegas. That is when it went down hill. We were seated in front of loud southern drunk guys heading to the gambling capital. The sensible female steward cut them off from the jacks they were drinking, but the intimidated male stewards kept serving more. It got to the point where one of them couldn't even open their eyes anymore. So no rest or sleep for us. By the time we landed Paul and I and most of the plane were furious, so we had a bit to say departing the flight and I will be putting it in writing. We are in Vegas baby. Got our bags then departed the airport into muggy and dry heat heat heat. Hottest temperature since we have been here. Finally got to the Venetian. Wow, them most beautiful hotel I have ever seen. We checked in and finally made our way to our suite as the hotel is the size of a small town, I have been lost a few times. Once we got over the wow factor of our strip view room, we headed down to get some tea. That is when I decided to hit the slots.....did not do well at all, how surprising. Paul and the kids went swimming in the most amazing swimming pool area I have seen. I started getting tickets organised and then we had a wander to see what was about downstairs and saw some lovely ladies of the night on the arms of 100 year old Chinese gamblers......only in Vegas.
