Day 2- Today we had more orientation sessions. My roommates and I rode the tube today for the first time and it was an interesting experience. It wasn't too bad, crowd wise, in the morning but it was PACKED when we came back from our orientation sessions. Granted it was about 530pm but still, it was unbelievable how full it was. To make matters more interesting, I almost got stuck in a tube train door and one of my roommates didn't even make the one train with the rest of us. I can't wait to start commuting back and forth to classes and my internship... every day is going to be a different experience on the tube and I can't wait. (I am actually excited for this if you were confused).
We had our orientation sessions at the CAPA center. CAPA, where we take our classes, is in Kensington and it is a very ritzy, but cool, neighborhood. After our morning orientations, my roommates and I as well as some other friends from Pitt, walked around the neighborhood. It is so beautiful in London. All of the buildings are so historical and it is so neat that each one has been repurposed in some way or another. I love it! We also made our way to Hyde Park and saw Kensington Palace. We didn't have time to go through the palace but we will definitely go back. That's all for today, more later.
