Morton Bay Fig (Ficus Macrophylla)
A strangling fig that occurs widely from central Queensland to Southern New South Wales, usually in rainforests. It is widely planted as a shade tree in parks and large gardens. The roots spread widely and usually damage pipes, paths, etc. Fibers from the wood were used by Aborigines for nets.
