Today we (mum and I) fly from Brisbane to Melbourne for a week long break and to visit my cousin.

So far Brisbane airport has been fantastic. The new online checkin and automated bag drop worked seamlessly and we where through and I to the Qantas lounge in no time. The lounge is lovely and large with food and Mac computers up for use. Food could be better though.

Upon getting on the plane I had a very rude lady try and move my bag away from my seat so she could have her bag near hers. Sorry lady. First come first serve! We are also lucky enough to have a crying baby behind us. One of these days they are hopefully going to create a separate section for families with howling children.

The plane ride was mostly spent having grueling matches of iPad monopoly with my mum and battleship. That's right state if the art technology and we use it to play board games.

After a long and expensive ride to the hotel (Grand Mecure-Flinders Lane) we where delighted to find that though the room was a tad claustrophobic the design of it was gorgeous ( Very BBC Sherlock) . We unpacked and fell into bed.

We will just plan in the morning. Hope I sleep well.
