Wednesday we woke up and headed to breakfast in Degraves st, nice breakfast , shame about the random sewer smells!!! As was my tradition I went and got some chocolate moose at Koko Black before meeting up with mum and Toni to go to "bridge at".
We started the shopping at Bridge st together but as our different styles (and mums constant business calls ) got in the way we soon split up. I got a cute Review Dress for only $69, not my normal style.
We shopped at Bridge rd till 2:30 before going back into the city and having a very over priced lunch at the Tea Rooms in the Block Arcade. Nice design inside but very expensive for what we got!
After eating I left mum and Toni to go to MAC where I was getting my makeup done for the night, when I intended to spend the cost of the makeup instore anyway it seemed a good idea!
I really liked my foundation though I think she went way overboard with the bronzer. Eye makeup was nice but once again I was made to look evil an harsh!
After the MAC session we returned to our rooms to get ready to go out to Dracula's.
Arriving at Draculas we where presented with VIP necklaces (pictured) which left me well chuffed. I think they are an awesome souvenir!! We then went inside, got our champagne and waited in the bar till it was ready. One of the staff pulled mums red hood up over her head, pronounced her Red riding Hood and then ran away. Finally mum and Toni where starting to loosen up. (they had reservations coming). The call sounded, we got our ghoulish photo, boarded the train and got seated in a "Porn Booth" for dinner with our waiter "Nightmare". (though he told mum to call him sunshine!).
Food was excellent and the service was hilarious. At one point I saw out waiter tell a girl at another table to "SUCK IT UP PRINCESS!!!" when she complained about her drink.
During dinner they had some pop songs being played by the house jazz bad (the guitarist mum was entranced by).
Finally the show started and it was fantastic!
The comedy act from one of the girls was a perfect combination of politically incorrect and witty. One of my fav lines was " least you can say one good thing about pedophiles, they drive slow in school zones!" I think I spat my drink out.
Each of the performers where exceptionally talented and a true pleasure to watch, I really enjoyed the the tribute to Michael Jackson they did.
When the intermission came around our waiter noticed my Avengers iPhone case and went from dismissive angry Draculette to Fanboy in a faster then The Hulk can smash Loki. We then proceeded to annoy everyone around us by having a load and animated conversation about Geek movies. I really enjoy meeting new people with similar interests. ( I asked for his Facebook after the show but I'm pretty sure I got a fake name, what a shame, I love making new friends ;0; )
The second act of the show kicked off with a Beautiful Burlesque performance to Katy Perrys "ET". My cousin was uncomfortable with it because she can't see past the sexual and to the beauty of the performance. Those girls are incredibly fit! And had impressive balance, I'd have fallen off the spinning thing they where on!
They finished the show with Lady Gaga, we paid our drink bill, I bought some of the LED skull drink glasses for a friend in Perth and we went back to the hotel for more drink and gossip.
I was wrecked so I retired to bed. A great night out!
The days highlight was dracula's, not only was it excellent, my mother who didn't wanna go loved it!
