So its now 7.30pm & the first bottle has been despatched, thanks to my friend Aggis, who is married to Martina, the professional shopper.

The men are waiting patiently as we have been trained to do, testing the white wine, as we want the girls to have the best available. Mind you, there will be a little less now that Aggis has just knocked his glass over my nice clean tablecloth!!!!

We are looking forward to some good fresh seafood, it is probably still in the sea, which is why Kay & Martina are taking so long. We are now into drinking the excellent chardonnay I got in specially for Polly and the kids, just to check it's ok, you understand.

I have to say that the acute pains in my knee have now subsided somewhat after Aggis spilt the wine on it and I have taken a few glasses of white painkiller.
