We left La Paz at six in the morning and arrived at Copacabana 3 and a half hours later. The bus journey was pretty good as there was a lot to see along the way and we had to take a little ferry ride which broke it up. Check out the bus going across!! Copacabana (not like in Brazil!!) is a little town by Lake Titicaca but is not really a nice place. We took a ferry around lunch time to an island called Isla Del Sol. It took 1 and a half hours to get across to the island. Once we got across we had to go up the Inca Stairway which was quite a task with all our bags with us!! Once we got up we just found accommodation and dropped our bags!!! Isla Del Sol is a really beautiful place. There is absolutely nothing there just great views of the lake and great scenery. We stayed there for two nights as it was just so relaxing and tranquil on the island. All we did was walk around the island for the two days and read our books. It was great to spend some time on Lake Titicaca and to taste some good fish for the first time in nearly two months!!! On the day we were leaving we hopped on the ferry back to Copacabana and caught a connecting bus which would take us directly to Cusco to start preparing for the Inca Trail!!
Isla Del Sol/Lake Titicaca Done!!
