Greetings from England!

I'm sorry that it has taken me a while to get to the computer and update, but the last few days have been an absolute whirlwind. It all started on the airplane... My Air New Zealnd flight was delayed 3 hours due to a telephone issue between the cabin crew and the pilot. So, instead of jetting off, I found myself staring out at the LAX crew in their little trucks from my airplane seat window. Luckily, the airplane staff were very apologetic and set up refreshments in an air conditioned lounge off the plane, where we could sit until it was time to finally leave. I had two very nice seat mates as well - one was a basketball player on his way to a tournament in Wales, and the other was a DJ en route to Spain for a gig. It was good to have them to chat with while we waited. Impatient as I was, more than anything, I just wanted to make sure we actually took off at some point. Thank goodness we finally did.

James met me at the airport and it has just been a few days full of smiles since then. He worked yesterday morning, but was home for lunch, and then in the evening we went on a walk through the surrounding fields. There are flowers everywhere! Giant patches of bright red poppies and little yellow buttercups. Don't worry, I took pics. :) Tonight, we may go to Jamie Oliver's restaurant in Oxford, and then tomorrow there is a village get-together ("A Bit of a Do") and Sunday looks like it will bring a bbq for Father's Day. Many things to look forward to already!
