Given are missed out on the cat excitement last night, Lesley & I were hopeful we'd see some as we went to Kruger for the second time - after all she'd seen 23 lions there at the wknd & I'd seen a leopard on my first trip

Out first sighting was of the buffaloes just minutes after entering the park - so that's one of the big five!

We then saw herds of elephants playing in the river, terrapins, hyaena & new born cub, zebra, crocodile, warthog, hippo and a massive herd of buffalo with elephants, zebra, wilderbeast & baboon alongside - was an amazing sight & one you wouldn't get at selati. We also saw 2 lions within a kilometre or 2 so that was 3 of the big five but sadly no leopard or rhino this time. And we also saw impala - and lots of them!!!

That was about it for the animals but this time the weather was nicer & the lack of animals to stop & look at meant we made it oliphants camp which had some great views

We then stopped off at a restaurant in hoedspruit for dinner on the way home to celebrate Lesley's birthday
