This is a truly fantastic Palace, quiet breathtaking and surreal. Stopped off during our visit in December 2011 and I would recommend it to any one who is going to Chiang Rai, your visit wouldn't be complete. Truly magnificent.

Great to hear that you are back - I remember that feeling, you've changed/seen/done so much and everything else is very status quo! All the best with the nursing and yes we will catch up in Akl. Don't 4get there is always bed(s) here if you want a weekend away - with or without friends.
Take care and all the best

All those dark bits in between the cities that you've flown over, Olivia, are the Arab equivalent of what the Aussies call the "GAFA", only here they refer to it as "Rub al Khali"
cheers and love from all of us
silver car owner
well i say u guys can both fight over dan cos everyone knows that i have been giften the silver car... it likes me cos I (unlike some other drivers) make the most of its amazing sound system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Liv
Dan for those who don't know, is the car (aka MY car), which has unfortunately stuck with the name Dan due to his number plate.Corinne, unfortunately, has come to the disillusioned conclusion that i won't be claiming it back when i retun home- i feel the substantial dent she made in it after about 1 month already qualifies me as hi better carer.
waster of at least 25 euro cents
I cant believe your on your way again! i just txted u... but I now realise I wasted a whole total of about 25 euro cents! dont worry, it was just a waffly one as normal.

Oh no, don't say we are going to have years of, " Remember that time we met up in Africa/India/London" from now on...every time you come around and Rachel or Alice is here!!! yawn! Seriously though, so pleased you that you got to meet up with your secondary sister in Arusha.
Hope the connections and planes do what they should - rally looking forward to seeing you,

ps Who is Dan? Should we all want him in our room?
Oberhumers
Oh you'll find Qatar Airways are alright (shouldn't say that about the competition) but we are still miffed that you are using them instead of Emirates and that you are not stopping over at "Gasthof zum Wüstenfuchs" here. Hmmmpf!
Goblin

Jambo! And Asanti Sana for the free entertainment, you really SHOULD put it all together in a book one day, Paul Theroux is an amateur compared to you!
Sneeze corn is alright, but make sure you also try the fried grasshoppers, great source of protein.
Love from the Desert Foxes
Cornie
Hey, just SO pleased you have finally got to enjoy Sneeze Corn too! What more could any traveller want than a tasty bit of sneeze corn in Arusha...
Except perhaps to see a life size elephant on Paihia Beach! it was lying down. If you don't believe me, just ask your dad, he was judging..
