Our first proper night in the van,fantastic, bit chilly but dressed quickly and went for coffee and breakfast at Tonyas, we had parked just down the road so were really close. Tonya knew of a bead shop in Alkmar so we ate and warmed up before driving to the local train station and travelling by train. Tonya was excited and great at showing us round the town explaining historic bits and translating for us, we stopped off for coffee in HELM and then wondered round to the bead shop, WOW some amazing stuff!! Walked back round the market square and got fritz and mayonnaise (AGAIN :)), it was sooooo cold and we even saw some snow. Arriving back at the house we were very sleepy, Gerald made hot water bottles to warm us up and we ate and drove the van to the local sports centre were we were allowed to park up for a few nights.
