Today we are in Puno, which took 9 hours travel to get to. Yesterday we got up at 5am again to get the bus at 7. The bus was quite luxurious and stopped at many places along the way such as inca ruins, a church, for lunch and at a viewpoint. The most interesting thing we saw all day were these trees outside San Pedro church which were 2000 years old. Lisa also bought a teddybear made from baby Alpacha. Matthew has now started to read the book Veronica gave me so its always a bone of contention who gets it when.
We arrived in Puno at about 5 oclock. The hotel we are staying in is expensive but pretty good. It has a bath!! We also had a lie in this morning which was amazing and the hotel rang us up about having breakfast in bed. We got another call from them needing to clean the room, the only reason we got up really. Puno is a lot different to Cuzco, on the way in we saw half the city looked like shanty settlements. The road along the Lake Titicaca has beautiful views but there isn't much else to do.
Tomorrow we are heading to the floating reed islands, Uros, and then to a fertility temple in the afternoon.
Talk soon!
