Lisa's travels
Just arrived back from three days sailing in the Whitsundays which was really cool. The weather was pretty good although a little chilly at night. Also Saturday morning was a bit poo when we where on the best beach in the world and it was cold and raining!!!!
We started sailing on Friday evening we where all given a bunk which was pretty cramped and small but it would do for the two nights!!! We were told that we couldnt have showers due to the small amount of water on the boat although that didnt matter because we would be in and out of the sea a lot of the time. I was pretty tired on the first evening as i had travelled all night from 1770.
The second day we firstly went to whitehaven beach which is the best beach in the world although i really couldnt get the feel for it because it was far too cold and wet. We then got back on the boat and went snorkelling around the reef at whitsunday island which was amazing the fish where really bright and colourful, some were huge. After snorkelling we then got back on the boat and went to a second island were we could snorkel which was a lot better than the first place a lot more fish and brightly coloured coral. We then got back on the boat and had tea which was a roast it was well good.
We all had a pretty early night due to being up so early.
On the third day we got to lie in until 7.30!!! We had breakfast and then went for our final snorkel before making a slow journey back to the harbour.
Overall the trip was pretty good the staff werent that fantastic but we made our own fun. And if i did it again i would definately pay that little bit extra for a better boat.
