Hey guys, sorry its been a while its been all go this side of the world, not quite sure where to start, ill make it brief though as its eating into my internet credit :D
Basically last time i wrote we were heading to a place called Mercury Bay, we joined a huge group of 25 peeps which was awesome as we had loads of people to chat to etc, We stayed at a family hostel called turtlecove it was awesome, we played pool and bonded with everyone!!!! On that night we went out with our new bus driver "diesel" he was a legend, had the most awesome night chilling and getting drunk watching the crazy hillbilly locals dancing to some hardcore cheese music!!!!! Then we set off in the morning heading towards Rotorua, stopping off on the way to a place called Cathedral Cove, really beautiful amazng views(check Photos once ive uploaded) me and lucy underestimated the steepness of the crazy hills we had to walk up and down, but it was rather worth it :D
(so hard trying to remember what happens in the correct order as we have done so much Lucys blog is far more detailed as i can here he tapping away like crazy :D) www.statravelblogs.com/juicylucyloopyloo
Rotorua is gorgeous a natural thermal area of New zealand where the thermal pools steam and really stink!!! (rotten eggs) awesome place! We took a cultural tour on a village of the mauoris (not correct spelling) We had a feast of traditional cooked food from underground the perfect roast dinner!!!! JAMIE OLIVER EAT YOUR HEART OUT. We then went out for a few beers at our local bar lava bar next to our hostel!!! Met a few randoms!!!!!!!!
We also went Zorbing which was flaming awesome, giant rubber balls, loads of water inside and me and lucy sliding around everywhere as were pushed down a massive hill!!!!!! WICKED!
With our stay in Rotorura we also went to a spa to have a mineral bath and mud bath and massage which is fully deserved i have you know, our bags are well heavy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE then set off to a smaller place ( when i say small i mean, fiels, hostel and a pub) on the way we went to watch a sheep shearing show which sounds really weird and crap but was actually preety cool and funny, esp when lucy got roped into standing up near stage to catch some sheep from jumping off the stage, but in actual fact it was ducks, they tricked her, very funny!!!!
Once arriving at our new town, WAITOMO, we stopped near a rabbit shearing shop, again very very weird! was random but very cute!
Then once we got to our Hostel we had a cheese and wine party out on the front awesome weather and even tried to walk some rope, hardcore!!!! loved it
We went to the one pub in the 'town' which turned otu to be a cool night, as i took part in a boat race ( not a realy boat) a race of downing pints in which killed me, and i finally managed to do it after a few dribbles down my chin :D
Then today........... wow where to start! we set off from our hostel to Waitomo caves which was again really amazing, totally loved it, bl;ack water rafting on a rubber ring though really deep caves, saw glow worms and had to do backwards jumps of waterfalls, crazy snizzle, fully loved it and found it totally thrilling :D
After that we set off on our way to Taupo where we had a massive rush to the sky dive centre, litterally had no time to think about it which was cool, wasnt too nervous, but once the guy was holding (daniling) me out the plane it was scary!!!! had an awesome time, although my goggles were too looses and really annoyed as my whole video was of me holding on to my goggles :( but appart from that it was very cool and glad i have done it, although Its not all that eeek ill prob get a load of abuse but it is quite over rated! Wicked experience though!
So guys thats a very brief up date, but its pretty much all we did, the photos explain a lot more so will try my best to update.
