Arriving in Utila, Honduras

I finally arrived in San Pedro Sula on the night of the 29th. My luggage however, did not. Still in great spirits and needing a place to stay. I met a fellow traveller who spoke much better spanish than I, grabbed a cab together and made our way to a local hotel. The room was expensive (31US) but they did provide a shuttle to the Hedman Alas bus terminal the next morning, which I took at 6 am to La Ceiba. from there I got on the morning ferry to Utila, where I rejoined my friends once again. The ferry cost 23 US to go, and 20 US to return.

After visiting the ferry everyday twice a day. I finally received my bag a few days later intact. Utila is beautiful. and full of interesting people. Primarily a diving destination, I found myself a little bored as I was not interesested in doing some diving at the time. After celebrating the New Year with some new friends. We decided to kayak around the island on the new year. Seeing beautful fish and plenty of coral. It may have changed my mind about the diving and I may return by the end of the month.
