So I'm locked up in the jail in Grahamstown tonight and the car is impounded in the police lock up.... yeh ok some will say it was an accident waiting to happen but would you believe i actually had to pay for the privilage!!!!
Another 1500kms on the route and i think we may be at half way point on the road trip.... i officially look like a dot to dot picture with freckles everywhere n even have white bits where ma flip flops go so me thinks its summer.... ok so the red bits are more of a give away!!!
Been through another country - lesotho looks small but takes bloody ages to drive through!!! Its another highlight on the trip.... still really traditional with young herder boys out with their cattle n sheep all over the countryside n ploughing with oxen. Had another few offroad experiences... best one was with a local guide who half way along anounces that he thinks this may be a 4x4 only road.... No s*** sherlock.... I'd kinda worked that one out for myself!!!! Went to see the dinosaur footprints.... personally I thought a rather large bird could have stood in some concrete a couple of weeks ago but they assure me they are the real thing!!!
The roads continue to amuse me... night driving is a definate no no now.... highlight of our last trip was a car using its indicators as lights as it had no others!!! Between that and cows, goats and people walking into the road its safer to stay indoors with a cold one in my hand rather than watching the guy that drives past drinking the cold one in his hand!!!
P.S my title is now officially Princess Lindz..... ok well thats what it feels like as every single person we drove past in lesotho waved at us.... given that there were like over 400 people in only one little village where we stayed and there are probably 300+ villages my bingo wings have well and truly toned up.... again swaping drivers is essential to balance muscle tone evenly!!!
