After being awake for almost 48 hours straight I might have to get away with a short posting for today :) First, the flights went very well - we had amazingly comfortable seats so the 8 hour long flight over the pond didn't seem to bad at all. After the stop in Frankfurt we were a bit tired.. BUT after landing in Rome and getting settled in our beautiful hotel we got a second wind!

After grabbing a drink at the hotel's amazing restaurant, my parents and I headed out to do a little exploring and shopping. After a quick nap we had an amazing pasta dinner (yummm!) and hopped on a "Rome at Night" bus tour. Wow. This place is so amazing -- The highlights of course were seeing the Vatican (where we hopped out to take pics), the Colliseum, and the famous Trevi Fountain! Tomorrow we have a little free time before boarding our ship so I believe we will try to go back and see the Colliseum during the day time! So far Rome has presented us with amazing food/drinks, friendly people, and breathtaking sights - what's not to love?!
