Alive and well...well traveled that is, after renting Reina (Queen) our car in Bariloche, Argentina and spending a beautiful couple of days in the lakes district of Argentina we made way to the south, initially on famous Route 40, all things considered this is not a route for a compact economy car, and certainly not fit for the Queen. Rough roads brought us from rough and rocky Route 40 to the more tranquil Route 3, bordering the Atlantic Coast and passing through some of the most desolate landscape in Argentina. To no avail we made it to our destination El Chalten and its famous Fitz Roy Range, named after the Cerro Fitz Roy, formally Cerro Chalten, one of the worlds most immaculate peaks and reaching up to the heavens with all of its might and with it stand its brothers and sisters respectively: Cerro Torre, Egger, Poincert, and Solo all of which we were able to view and be blessed with their presence and power. Days and nights were spent in the backcountry with the winds and wilds of this area, fresh cherries were picked from the trees while Scott and Mark made way into glacial fed lakes that were near freezing. We nearly were thrown from mountain top to mountain top with the power of the winds at the shores of Lago De Los Tres and with each encounter we were able to embrace it with our mind, body and spirit. Simply Incredible!
Two weeks later we are safe and sound and on our way to Buenos Aires to take in the city life for a while and experience a new adventure, and add yet another chapter to the our story.
