Arrrgggghhhhhhhhhhh was all that came out of my mouth when I was free falling from 14,000ft over Byron Bay, Queensland!!! Having had my skydive cancelled in Cairns I decided that there was no better place to try again than on the Gold Coast....having booked the day before I was already for an early night but that didnt quite happen. After being taken to about 5 bars in surfers (including a very stylish strip joint) I rolled into bed at about 5am, within 2 hours I was up and on my way to Byron Bay for one of the craziest things I will probably do in my life.  I wasnt nervous at all but I have the feeling this could have been down to the lack of sleep and just wanting my bed back....as the place took off the nerves began to settle in and I think the realisation of what I was about to do hit hard. My tandem jumper was a funny guy and he made me laugh all the way up to 14,000ft....he found it highly amusing when I asked him if we were nearly there yet when infact we were only 4,000ft up!!! It took about 10 minutes to get to jump height and to be honest with you all the next part is all a bit of a blur - one minut I was sat comfortabley in the plane, the next my legs were hanging out the door and then I was jumping through the sky! The adrenaline that hits you as soon as you fall is insane and so hard to explain. For the first few seconds you are well aware that your actually flying (or rather falling!) extremely fast through the sky but the following 60 seconds of the free fall are amazingly fun and it doesnt seem to register in your head how fast your actually going. Its very loud when your falling which is probably a good job forthe guy attached to my back as the screans coming from my mouth were the loudest they have ever been!! Once the parachute opens you just float through the sky admiring the gorgeous views of the ocean, beach and land....It was a unique experience and something I would tell everybody to do once. The feeling and rush you get from doing it beats anything else I think I have ever done  - and thats saying something!

The few days following on from the skydive were fun and relaxing. I spent lots of time with old and new friends and was lucky enough to be adopted by Talyah's mum. She felt sorry for me staying in a hostel and put me up for 3 days. I went from a dorm room of 6 to a mansion with its own swimming pool and garden that backed onto a lake with boats - amazing!! I got treated to good food and lots of meals out - yummmy! I swear its every backpackers dream come true..thank you to you both, I will be back!!

It was so great to be back on the coast where the adventure really started for us - The weather was fantastic everyday and the beach as perfect as when I first arrived. After having explored about 5 cities and fallen in love with almost ever one my heart still adores Queensland and the coast more than anything...I just wish you could all be here to see and experience exactly what I mean!

So now I am back in Sydney and staying in a place called Newtown. I cant remember if Ive mentioned this place before but its great. A little like Camden but with less crazy people and a lot of nice food!! The hostel is great and I'm staying with one of the permanent residents there which means Tasha isn't paying much at all and getting free breakfast - its all good!! The adventure is ending for Charli in a few days aswell as Gabi & Lotta so things are feeling rather strange right now. Its been a crazy rollercoaster ride over the last 5 weeks but every minute of it has been amazing to me. Im going to miss my friends but I have made so many new ones that I can't do anything but smile. I am leaving here this week again as I have a fun filled week ahead of me which includes seeing the fantastic Missy Higgins in concert and a trip to Fraser Island - I cant wait! And on that note I will sign off now and get back out into the Sydney sun (yes its winter here but the sun is still very much out!!)
