I spent two wonderful days in the Friesland. It was magnificent, similar to New Zealand but with a Dutch feel. The scenery was picturesque, green fields filled with luscious fertile soil where cows and sheep would graze. I went to Maastricht today and it was so nerve racking walking around not knowing where the hostel was, my first solo adventure, unplanned! I found the hostel and met an Aussie guy! It was so nice to hear some proper English after speaking Dutch for the weekend. So I went out for a walk and took some photos. So I spent the weekend in Eindhoven with Rob and his family. We Walked around the city and then went to the stadium. After that we went back to his house where I met his dad and uncle. I didn't realize that the Dutch do not speak English that often! We then went for a drive around the country side of Eindhoven which was wonderful. We went to where van gough was born in nenuin. So QueensDay has been and gone! What a wonderful night queens night was on the Sunday night. I caught a train to Utrecht and met Jacqueline and Adam then went to Yentl and Anke house. Today is the start of my adventure, traveling solo around the Europe for 6 months. It was quite hard to say good bye to my family today, but I know it is the right time in my life to do this. I feel that I have made enough preparations to do this. On the SQ222 to Singapore, then transfer to Amsterdam! I'm so looking forward to following the festivals of Europe.
