I went to Maastricht today and it was so nerve racking walking around not knowing where the hostel was, my first solo adventure, unplanned! I found the hostel and met an Aussie guy! It was so nice to hear some proper English after speaking Dutch for the weekend. So I went out for a walk and took some photos. I then caught up with Gilbert from Australia, turns out he is from Melbourne. He was such a intellect, very nice person, so we decided to travel around Maastricht for the day,we went for a walk around town, to the church which was amazing, built in 530ad. Then we went to a underground caves, and learn the about the history of Maastricht and the importance of the caves. After a day of sightseeing and grocery shopping I headed back to Utrecht and stayed with Jacqueline for the night. I'm now heading to sneek to do some kayaking and see what the town has to offer.
