I woke up and Darcy and I were on the same pillow and covered in crumbs hahah. I went down into my room and tried to sleep but I felt pretty sick. I didn't commit though which is an achievement in itself.
I had a few swims to make myself feel better and had some bread with honey and watermelon.
At 9 we all got a boat to go sea kayaking and I was not well. We sat in the boiling heat in Kale for around 1 hour while they fluffed around. The Turkish are so unorganised I hate it! There were some cute kittens though so I just watched them.
We got into our kayaks finally and paddled for about 40 mins to a little bay that had ruins. It is called a sunken city in Kale. Then we had a swim and I was nearly going to throw up but worked through it and then we paddled over to the old castle called Simana that is now a ruin and that was another 30 mins. Hard work! My arms were dying!! Its quite a nice historical feel. A few people capsized which was hilarious. We were with another boats group as well so nice to see new faces.
When we got in we waded through the water to a restaurant that had a buffet and everyone ate there. It was do delicious. I had completely forgotten about feeling sick a wolfed down food which quickly reminded me but I only improved thank goodness. Although I couldn't eat much which was a shame.
We came back onto the boat and just relaxed for a few hours on the deck/in the water and then took off again for another little spot which was so picturesque.
Turkish coast line is quite stunning. Very untouched which is what makes it I think. More often than not there is no one else around and rarely buildings! I think sail croatia will be a very different experience but still equally as excited-I wouldn't want it to be the same.
Lastly we cruised to the spot we would stay for the night. It was so beautiful and hidden from the coastline. There were turtles in the water and it was shaded which was nice. The water was really cold which was weird as I'm used to it being so warm in turkey. It was less salty as well (salt overload here).
Dinner was hamburgers, mashed potato, the usual amazing salad and pasta. So Yummy! Darcy put 5 patties into his mouth haha and then spat them out which was hilarious!!
Everyone was pretty exhausted from last night so we decided to just relax tonight and by 10 we were all laying on the deck looking up at the stars (sooo many) and watching out for shooting stars (I saw 4).
