I woke up early again dammit. But got up showered and went off on an adventure.
When I caught the train to Monaco I spotted a beautiful cove with a beach, and last night I googled best beaches near nice and it's picture came up!! I knew it was along the train line and I knew the stop was cap d'ail.
I got a banana, choc croissant, cheese and bacon Danish a punnet of strawberries and of course paprika Pringles and set off.
Before I knew it the train was there and I jumped off just in time. I followed to signs to plaga mala but then they stopped. I read a bit about it online that said you had to go down an unbareable amount of steps which I was dreading so when I saw some steps I went down them. It lead me along the rocks where a lot of people were sunbathing. After a while I stopped someone and asked and they pointed in the direction I was going. So I kept going and finally i got there. Not that many stairs though so maybe I found a short cut.
The beach is gorgeous! Small and set back into a cliff. With huge villas looking down onto it. I went to the beach bar I read had wifi but the were booked out, then I went to the next one (la reserve de la mala) and got the last sun bed (€22 for the day). Absolute bliss. I was by far the largest girl on the beach (note to self stop eating macaroons) and probs the only one without fake boobs but it was fun! The waiting staff were like Abercrombie models and there were huge yachts in the bay.
I played with one gorgeous little girl on the beach- she was so cheeky. I watched her mum telling her off and she just laughed and licked her face hahah. I knew we would be instant friends.
And then came jean. An older man sitting next to me talking to friends who introduced himself and took my hand in his two and kissed it ( so french). Not only does he have a gorgeous villa on the cliff which he pointer out but he also owns the private beach I was on haha.
I got very very burnt which is not surprising considering how white I was! But I'm looking forward to the tan that will come. I had a bottle of water and a can of coke and my bill came to €38. Ouch. Apparently they forgot to tell me it was another €8 for an umbrella which clearly didn't do it's job anyway haha.
I have dinner reservations at a restaurant I couldn't get into last night which im very looking forward to. Lonely planet recommended them highly.
I have decided to learn French. It was out of French/Italian/Spanish and although i love all of the countries I think I like France the Most. Well the south of france anyway.
I jarred my first bottle of sand
