Oh dear. Ever had the feeling that something bad is about to happen? Well, I do not only THINK something bad is gonna happen, I KNOW something bad is gonna happen. See, about 10 days ago I bought some Chourizo (Portuguese wors) and during the move it kinda .. well… it got lost. (Losing stuff is not unusual in my life as I lost many balls on Thursday, but more on that later!) I went through all my cupboards, bags and boxes last night, but no sausage *sigh*. So basically, somewhere in my room there is a lost sausage … (HAHAHA!)
But enough about the lost sausage and more about the lost balls. Guess what I did on Thursday?! I PLAYED GOLF!!! Our company hosted a "Golf for non-golfers" day and I was asked to attend which I wasn't very happy about at first, because the thought of completely plonking my name in front of important clients aint my idea of having fun! Luckily the two dudes in my team couldn't play golf either so it was a very informal game with lots of let-me-just-try-again's. I haven't decided yet if I like golf or not. Maybe if there is a cute guy fanning me with a palm leaf and serving me tropical drinks I might take it up as a hobby…
My birthday last Friday was also a bit of a sad day. The one person that I really wanted to speak to, wasn't gonna call - having my first birthday without my mom was really hard. So I found myself crawling into bed at about 18:30 on Friday night not at all looking forward to going out but when Michelle arrived an hour later with Woollies' Prawn Cocktail and pink cupcakes, I was ready to PAR-TY! (The rest of the cupcakes also went down well when I finally got home at 5 the next morning….)
The rest of my weekend was jampacked as I had breakfast with my high school sweetheart on Saturday (was really awesome as I haven't seen him in 8 years!); then I saw Marcos in the afternoon followed by having drinks at Nelson Mandela square with Dianne, Sathar and Terri; which ended in me complaining that I'm tired but when Dianne and I got home we decided that midnight on a Saturday night is the PERFECT time to redecorate the sitting room which took us about an hour and a half…. Luckily I could sleep in a little bit on Sunday morning before going to the Barnyard Theatre. The show didn't quite blow me away, but it was still awesome catching up with family and friends!! *taking a moment just to catch my breath*. I'm exhausted! Firstly, I think I need a PA to run my life; secondly I need a break (for the fact that I've only been working for a month and was on holiday for five months prior is completely beside the point)!
PS: you can see from the attached photo that i took the golf VERY SERIOUS!
