We were so excited about Noosa and the prospect of meeting the Irwin's. I think everyone goes to Noosa primarily for Australia Zoo.
So we got up early and caught the Australia Zoo bus. During the bus ride we got to watch a video on Steve's biography. We saw loads of things at the zoo:
- Harriet, the 175 year old Giant Galapagos Tortoise who is the oldest living animal in captivity. They thought it was a boy for years and it used to be called Harry.
-Watched the snake show, tiger show, bird show and crocodile show. Unfortunately it was Steve's day off, we were gutted.
- We posed for ages with all the cardboard cut outs of the Irwins and I stuck my head in a fake crocodile.
- Saw loads of Australian animals - Tasmanian Devils, wombats, kangaroos and deadly snakes.
- I enjoyed feeding the goats in the kid's corner.
Aidan was disappointed with the crocodiles. He reckons we've seen better in the wild in Darwin.
As we were boarding the bus to Brisbane, Aidan realised he'd left the passports under our bed in our room in the hostel!
Katie.
